Sogang University is the first university to establish a campus in Pangyo, known as Korea's "Silicon Valley for startups." [cite: 58] The university aims to realize a new form of industry-integrated university campus that simultaneously promotes education, research, and entrepreneurship directly in the center of the industrial field. Currently, within a 10,000 m2 space inside the Wework Tower, the campus is establishing an industry-academia cooperation hub that hosts educational facilities for system-semiconductor design training, technology management, and entrepreneurship, along with startups and talent development programs in the fields of AI, semiconductors, and mobility. Beginning in the Spring 2026 semester, the institute will open and operate a Korean Language Program at the "Sogang-Pangyo Digital Innovation Campus," located in the IT and AI cluster that includes major tech companies such as Naver, Kakao, and various startups, with the goal of cultivating globally competent, field-oriented talent.
